Tonight we set in motion or annual fast to begin January 4th 2009. Last year we fasted for 21 days and watched in amazement as God began to answer our specific prayers. One of the most amazing answers to prayer was the blessing of our new facilities. Obtaining 23 acres and an existing church building was completely out of reach in the natural. We are thankful we serve a supernatural God! Many received answers to personal prayers and saw God move on their friends and family. For those that joined in on the fast of last year, jump in with both feet this year. Challenge yourself as you pray to the Lord for direction in what and how to fast. For those that have joined New Harvest recently be inspired by the testimonies of the church and realize that God moves when we put our faith in Him. I can't imagine what God will do this year, but I am sure it will be amazing. After all, we are focused on our #1 goal - Reaching the community for Christ and seeing souls saved!

I'll be joining your church's fast. I'd like to see God move in New Harvest as well as in my family. Fasting is an important and yet often overlooked tool of Christianity.
