What miracle are you praying for? Today's passage in the book "Are You Ready for a Miracle" discusses the fact that God wants His people to be healthy and victorious. In today's American Christian culture we find that many Christians believe God wants to heal and restore, but can not take the next step in believing that God wants to heal and restore them! Let's look at God's plan from the beginning. He created a perfect place for a perfect man (before sin). Adam was placed in paradise in the midst of two important trees. One tree bore fruit that was forbidden to be eaten and man fell into sin when Adam ate that fruit. The other tree bore fruit that would allow man to live forever in paradise. There were no sicknesses or diseases before the fall of man so one can definitively see that God planned for man to live forever without sickness or disease! Of course, with the gift of salvation and the Blessed Hope we know we will one day live free from sickness and disease in paradise with God. All throughout the scriptures, not just in the New Testament, God made provision for man to be healthy and strong. Entire chapters are dedicated to instructions on how to stay healthy from disease. Before man even imagined there were such things as germs, bacteria, viruses, and parasites God gave instruction on how to keep them from spreading! If God is so concerned about our health why is it hard to believe that He would want to heal us?
When you pray for healing don't limit your prayers to physical needs only. Broaden your prayers to cover spiritual, mental, and emotional healing. No matter what state of health we find ourselves in, we all need healing. For we all dwell in a world where pain and suffering is the plan that the enemy has for mankind. I trust that as you fast and pray, your faith will grow and that we will see miracles.
God Bless
